Last day in Temecula

Well, on the 17th November we left our house in Temecula for good.  Still the sale isn't completed but will be.  Our realtor is keeping us up to date.
Route and maps at the ready

We packed the car - goodness only knows how we got all the stuff in and I drove us to Santa Monica which is the starting place for our reverse trip to Oklahoma on Route 66.  We stayed in a Best Western which was a real treat.  In the evening, we got the hotel shuttle to the pier to take a photo by the end of Route 66 sign.

We also visited the 'shop' on the pier about Route 66 and Ian who owns it was so helpful and informative.  Bit of a chatterbox really, but we learned a lot and also bought the California magnet for the fridge.

Took our last photos of the Pacific for a while.  I had no idea in my life that I would be blessed enough to be able to see the Pacific ocean, let alone paddle in it and sail on it.  What an amazing stretch of water it is.

Had dinner at iHop with a glass of wine.  I had no idea they did dinner.  I had steak and it was delicious.  Steve had the chicken.
